The exploitation of children for sex and child porn has taken an even more ominous turn. The people perpetrating these heinous crimes have taken to transmissing the porn as a live show from some developing countries.
The alarm has been sounded by Britain's child protection agency.
Paedophiles and child pornographers, have begun to target third world countries where extreme poverty makes certain families easy targets for exploitation.
The live-streaming phenomenon was first observed in 2012, and has now become a worrisome trend.
The reason why the pedopornographers have chosen these impoverished families is because they unfortunately allow easier access to their children. Payments of sums that to the poor families mean the difference between life and death are dangled in front of the parents in exchange for access. Even worse, there is evidence that crime groups are organizing behind this activity and are forming a network of scouts who then target and use the children for their actitivies.
Of 146 victims identified since last fall, 96% are white, even though many were latino or seemed to have asian features. The remaining 4% percent was clearly Asian.
One of the countries of particular interest is Brazil, where the trend seems to have grown in the past two years, and might turn for the worse during next year's games.
In Britain alone, 50,000 people were found to be viewing or sharing the child pornography files.
